Research Platforms
The International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Interventional Medicine Engineering and Biotechnology has been officially recognized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology. It serves as a strategic platform for advancing the integration of the province’s innovation entities into the global innovation ecosystem, while enhancing international scientific and technological competitiveness.
Supported by the Provincial Key Laboratory of Medical Imaging and Interventional Medicine, the base focuses on research in the fields of interventional medical engineering and biotechnology. Through international collaboration and resource integration, it is dedicated to establishing a multi-tiered network for global scientific cooperation.
The base has formed long-term partnerships with several prominent international universities, including the University of Washington (USA), the University of Tsukuba (Japan), the University of Indonesia, and Grodno State Medical University (Belarus), among others. It has also made steady progress in collaborative projects with leading hospitals such as the Hospital del Mar in Spain, the University of Bologna Hospital in Italy, and the Medical University of Graz in Austria. Looking ahead, the base will continue to expand its network by deepening cooperation with more than 10 universities and hospitals across over 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Russia.
Moreover, the base has jointly undertaken two international collaborative research and development projects with multiple overseas institutions, with total funding exceeding 3 million yuan. These partnerships have resulted in the publication of over 40 high-quality research papers, reflecting substantial achievements in scientific research.
